The role has direct product ownership of the SGHub tenant and works closely with regional counterparts and the Group Corporate Support Solutions Architect to promote consistent standards and best practices across all UKG deployments.

Product Ownership

  • Own the UKG product in the SGHub region, with end-to-end accountability from a Group Technology perspective
  • Serve as the primary technology liaison for UKG in SGHub, interfacing between Group Technology, business (HR and Operations) stakeholders, and UKG partners
  • Represent SGHub’s needs in global discussions and adopt proven practices from NAM/EMEA

Solution Design & Configuration

  • Ensure that the UKG configuration and tenant-specific design for SGHub meets approved functional requirements
  • Review and validate system configurations or extensions
  • Challenge customizations that diverge from best practices, to maintain a high degree of standardisation

Group Governance, Alignment & Compliance

  • Act as a key contributor to Group-level UKG governance forums, focusing on consistency across regions
  • Collaborate with NAM and EMEA UKG product owners to share configuration patterns, integration approaches and security models
  • Liaise with specialist teams and ensure the SGHub UKG solution complies with Group Technology guidelines for architecture, data, integrations, infrastructure, and cybersecurity

Implementation & Enhancements

  • Oversee major UKG implementation phases and subsequent feature enhancements
  • Validate configuration changes or new module deployments in UKG before implementation
  • Oversee integrations between UKG and surrounding systems (e.g. HRIS, payroll, operational systems), verifying data migration and data quality
  • Gather stakeholder feedback to improve processes, user experience and platform utilization

Configuration Baseline Governance

  • Govern the SGHub UKG configuration baseline
  • Manage the formal governance process for any SGHub-specific changes: evaluate and approve (or reject) configuration changes, custom reports, or interface adjustments
  • Ensure any local SGHub enhancements aligns with the Group’s direction for UKG
  • Maintain clear documentation for SGHub’s configuration and share with internal stakeholder to bolster a collective knowledge base

Incident & Support Escalation

  • Serve as the Level 2 escalation point for any significant UKG issues affecting SGHub
  • Coordinate with the vendor to drive timely resolution for complex incidents or escalated system problems
  • Analyze incident trends to proactively address root causes and improve system stability

Vendor Management & SLA Oversight

  • Manage the relationship with UKG and any implementation/support partners
  • Monitor Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for system uptime, support response, and issue resolution
  • Conduct regular vendor performance reviews, escalate issues as needed and ensure vendor delivers on enhancements or fixes

Release & Change Management

  • Oversee the planning and impact assessment of UKG software releases, and for each new release or patch:
  • Coordinate review and testing of new features or changes in a sandbox environment
  • Assess impact on existing configurations, integrations, and user processes in SGHub
  • Work with the vendor/partners to schedule deployments
  • Steer the change approval process for SGHub

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • Additional credentials in HR Systems or Workforce Management (e.g. UKG certifications, Kronos/UKG training certificates) are a strong advantage.
  • UKG Expertise: Proven hands-on experience as a UKG (Kronos) solution expert or product manager, specifically in Time & Attendance / Workforce Management implementations. The ideal candidate has led or significantly contributed to at least one full lifecycle UKG deployment (from requirements through go-live).
  • Multi-Region Solutions: Experience managing or supporting HR/Workforce Management systems in a multi-entity or multi-tenant environment. For example, experience coordinating between regional instances or tenants of a global system, ensuring consistency while accommodating local requirements.
  • HR Domain Knowledge: Good understanding of timekeeping, rostering, scheduling, and attendance processes in a workforce context. Able to work closely with HR to interpret pay rules, overtime policies, leave management processes, etc., and ensure the system configuration correctly supports these.
  • Technical Integration Skills: Familiarity with system integrations related to time management – for instance, integrating UKG with HRIS (SuccessFactors) and Payroll systems, or with operational systems like scheduling or access control. Comfortable discussing APIs, data flows, and interface troubleshooting.
  • Configuration Governance: Experience in a role that required governing or maintaining a system configuration baseline (ensuring changes are reviewed, documented, and aligned to standards). This could be experience in an ERP/HRMS product management role or similar.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to work with software vendors or SaaS providers for issue resolution, contract/SLA management, and product roadmaps. Also, strong stakeholder engagement skills – able to liaise between technical teams, vendors, and non-technical business users (e.g. HR managers, operations supervisors) effectively.
  • Global Mindset: Comfortable working in a global or regional role, coordinating across different countries or time zones. Prior experience in a multi-cultural work environment and a matrix organizational structure is beneficial.
