Key Responsibilities
The Role
The UKG Implementation Lead is a contract position responsible for leading the implementation of the UKG Time Management solution. UKG has been selected as the Group’s standard Time & Attendance platform, deployed via multiple regional tenants (SGHub in Asia-Pacific, plus NAM and EMEA). The role acts as the client-side delivery lead: it owns the SATS implementation plan, drives the implementation partner and UKG, and ensures that what is built is the agreed Group golden template for Time Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Implementation Leadership – Own the SATS-side implementation plan for UKG in SGHub (and EMEA, if extended), covering scope, milestones, dependencies, risks and issues. Act as the day-to-day counterpart to the implementation partner’s project manager and to UKG, and report progress to the Group Corporate Support Solutions Architect and the project steering committee.
- Golden Template Design & Build – Lead the definition and build of the Group golden template for Time Management, maximising the use of standard UKG configuration. Key activities include:
- Running requirements and fit-gap workshops with HR Process Owners and Operations, including pay rules, overtime, shift patterns, rostering, leave and attendance policies.
- Validating the partner’s solution design and configuration workbooks before build, and challenging customisations that diverge from the template or from best practice.
- Separating clearly what is global template and what is a documented local variation, so the template can be reused for future countries.
- Integrations – Coordinate the design, build and testing of integrations between UKG and surrounding systems (e.g. SuccessFactors, payroll, access control and operational systems), ensuring data flows are robust, secure and aligned with Group integration standards.
- Data Migration – Oversee the data migration approach, data cleansing and data quality checks for employee, schedule, accrual and balance data, and sign off migration results before cutover.
- Testing & Acceptance – Plan and steer SIT, UAT and parallel pay runs. Ensure test scenarios cover the full set of pay rules and operational patterns (24/7 shift work, split shifts, public holidays), track defects to closure and prepare go-live acceptance recommendations.
- Cutover, Go-Live & Hypercare – Lead cutover planning and execution, go/no-go preparation and the hypercare period, with clear exit criteria for the transition to business-as-usual support.
- Standards Compliance – Ensure the implementation complies with Group Technology guidelines for architecture, data, integrations and cybersecurity, working with internal stakeholders to obtain the required reviews and approvals before go-live.
- Partner & Vendor Delivery Management – Manage the implementation partner and UKG against the contracted scope, deliverables and acceptance criteria. Review deliverable quality, assess change requests for impact and cost, and escalate delivery risks early.
- Organisational Change & Training Support – Work with HR and the change management team on training, end-user readiness and communications to ensure successful adoption.
- EMEA Rollout – Lead the deployment of the golden template to the EMEA tenant, managing local requirements and labour requirements, while protecting the integrity of the template.
- Knowledge Transfer & Handover – Deliver a formal handover at the end of hypercare, including configuration documentation, the template baseline, open issues, the release calendar and support procedures.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
- UKG certifications (UKG Pro Workforce Management / Dimensions) are a strong advantage; a project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) is beneficial.
- UKG Implementation Track Record: At least two full-lifecycle UKG (Kronos) Time & Attendance / Workforce Management implementations (from requirements through go-live and hypercare), ideally in a lead role.
- Template-Based Rollouts: Experience designing a global or regional template and deploying it across multiple countries or entities while controlling local variations.
- Complex Workforce Environments: Experience with 24/7 shift-based operations (aviation, logistics, manufacturing or similar), including complex pay rules, rostering and union or collective agreements.
- Regional Labour Knowledge: Working knowledge of Singapore employment and timekeeping practices; experience with European labour regulations and works councils is a strong advantage for the EMEA extension.
- Integration & Data Migration: Hands-on experience with UKG integrations to HRIS (SuccessFactors) and payroll, and with data migration and parallel pay run testing.
- Partner Management: Proven ability to lead implementation partners and SaaS vendors from the client side, including deliverable acceptance and change request control.
