Key Responsibilities
You will be working in a commercial kitchen preparing inflight meals for airline clients, with the following responsibilities:
- Oversee the operations in Production and Packaging activities
- Monitor the performance of machines/equipment (eg. packaging lines, production lines) and report any malfunction •
- Monitor production schedule and ensure timely completion of dishing
- Co-ordinate production and transfer of products between plants
- Organise/participate in time studies relating to shelf-life extension projects
- Use of Warehouse Management System – Infolog for the recording of items received and issued
- Follow orders in dishing of meals as directed to the quality expected by customers, complying to food safety and hygiene regulations
- Carry out ordering according to load requirements, follow proper stock control and rotation (adhere to FIFO)
- Ensure production staff adhere to HACCP, Medina food safety requirements, and all hygiene procedures • Conduct training of new staff on dishing procedures
- Conduct investigations on discrepancies
- Have the ability to work in a large brigade with a multi culture team;
Key Requirements
- Must be able to communicate in English
- Must be able to use PCs and computer systems related to area of work (e.g. Infolog), read computerised worksheets, check and respond to emails when on duty
- Possess good knowledge of food hygiene and food handling procedures
- Possess good decision-making, problem solving, communication and training skills
