Key Responsibilities
As a Trainee Catering Officer in Equipment Department, you will be coordinating and planning the operations to ensure timely completion in the most efficient and safe way. Shortlisted candidate will rotate across 3 different functions as below:
Ware Wash
- Responsible for the service crew in ware wash deployed, and work together with service provider to maximize output.
- Check balance carts unwashed at end of each shift and handle over to next shift.
- Ensuring there is no backlogs and sufficient equipment to meet the flight tight schedules.
- Contribute recommendations and strategies to optimize the operations in the operations.
- Emphasis service crew following the process.
- Influence and lead the service crew within the assigned area of responsibility to secure the maximum output.
- Perform the on-the-job training and new hire orientation to the operations processes.
Gallery Build-Up (GBU)
- Responsible for daily deployment and team output while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and regulations.
- Conduct Quality check, sort and stack all dry, clean, stain free and undamaged equipment received from ware wash. e.g. cutlery, glasses, chinaware and melamine equipment) onto equipment bins for packing according to appropriate safety guidelines.
- Ensure any washed airline cutlery found dirty is to be sent back to ware-wash for rewashing.
- Packing of clean, dry and stainless equipment in accordance with SATSCAT's airline clients' requirements and aircraft schedule.
- Responsible for Build-up airline equipment and carts according to the respective airline’s Equipment Loading Plan (ELP)
- Conduct quality checks on the packed carts and equipment
- Ensure accuracy in the quantity of equipment.
- Perform the on-the-job training and new hire orientation to the operations processes.
Cutlery
- Responsible for daily deployment and team output while ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures and regulations
- Responsible for Quality check, sort and stack all dry, clean, stain free and undamaged cutlery onto equipment bins for packing according to appropriate safety guidelines
- Ensure the team able to achieve 8000 - 10000 per shift
- Time sensitive player, Ensure the cutlery packs should be sent to Preset (Tray Assembly) 8-10 hours prior to Scheduled Time of Departure (STD) for the aircrafts
- Assign the team De-boxing new cutlery and send to ware wash for washing prior to packing
- Unpacking of unused cutlery from incoming flights
- Perform the on-the-job training and new hire orientation to the operations processes
Key Requirement
- Diploma in any Discipline is preferred
- Able to work under pressure in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Able to commit to work when required during weekends and public holidays.
- Energetic, physically fit and like hands on physical work.
- Team player who is motivated and committed with a strong sense of responsibility and urgency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and excel
- Able to lead and instill positive mindsets through effective communication to team while providing frequent updates to process developments as required
