Located near Singapore’s lifestyle and financial hub at Marina South, the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore (MBCCS) is the first purpose-built terminal designed to accommodate the new generation of cruise ships.
Operated by SATS-Creuers Cruise Services Pte Ltd (SCCS), a joint venture between SATS Limited and Creuers del Port de Barcelona, the MBCCS is set to be the centre piece of cruising in Southeast Asia where we effectively combine efficient terminal handling and the delivery of a memorable passenger experience. Working Environment
The role is based at Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore and may require occasional support outside regular office hours for ship calls, events, media activities, stakeholder engagements or time-sensitive social media posts. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a dynamic cruise terminal environment and collaborating closely with operational teams.
Role Overview
The Social Media Executive/Senior Executive will support the Business Development & Marketing team in strengthening the visibility, voice and reputation of SATS-Creuers Cruise Services Pte. Ltd. and Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore especially within the Marina Bay Precinct, across digital and social media platforms. The role will focus on creating timely, engaging and brand-aligned content for LinkedIn, Instagram and other digital channels, while supporting broader corporate communications, public relations, corporate website revamp and enhancement, marketing collateral, industry events and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Digital Content
- Plan, draft and coordinate social media content for MBCCS and SATS-Creuers across LinkedIn, Instagram and other relevant platforms.
- Develop clear, polished and platform-appropriate captions for corporate milestones, cruise events, industry engagements, awards, festive greetings and operational updates.
- Coordinate photo, video and asset requirements for social media posts, including shot lists, image selection and liaison with internal stakeholders or external partners.
- Maintain a social media content calendar to ensure regular, timely and relevant updates for industry stakeholders, partners and the public.
- Monitor social media performance and engagement, and provide basic insights or recommendations to improve reach, consistency and content effectiveness.
Corporate Communications & PR Support
- Support corporate PR communications, media-related content and localized execution in coordination with SATS Corporate Communications where required.
- Draft and coordinate content for website updates, newsletters, terminal information updates, industry circulars and public-facing announcements.
- Support the revamp and ongoing enhancement of the corporate website, including coordinating content updates, refreshing key pages and improving the presentation of company information for external stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing communication materials for major events, including opening ceremonies, maiden calls, awards, cruise line engagements and stakeholder events.
- Ensure all communications are accurate, professional, brand-aligned and cleared through the relevant internal or external approval channels.
- Maintain consistency in tone, messaging and visual identity across SATS-Creuers and MBCCS communication platforms.
Marketing Collateral, Advertising & Campaign Support
- Support the development and maintenance of marketing collateral for industry tradeshows, stakeholder meetings, cruise line reviews and corporate presentations.
- Assist with advertising-related work, including publication write-ups, digital and static media content, and coordination with media vendors or design agencies.
- Help maintain a repository of approved templates, brand assets, photos, videos, calendars and shared marketing materials for team use.
- Coordinate with designers, photographers, videographers and drone vendors where required for content creation and campaign execution.
- Support the preparation of materials for internal and external presentations, including management updates, stakeholder reports and port authority visits.
Event, Stakeholder & Operational Support
- Provide marketing and communications support for cruise industry tradeshows, conventions, familiarisation visits, media engagements and stakeholder events.
- Assist in gathering event information, photos, quotes and key messages from internal teams and external partners to support post-event publicity.
- Coordinate approvals with cruise lines, government agencies, tourism partners and internal teams where required for joint posts or sensitive announcements.
- Support the Business Development & Marketing team in administrative coordination for marketing activities, including schedules, meeting materials and follow-up items.
- Provide ad hoc support for business development and marketing initiatives that strengthen MBCCS’ positioning as a leading cruise gateway in Singapore.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Hospitality, Tourism, Media Studies or a related discipline.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in social media, marketing communications, PR, content creation or a related role; fresh graduates with strong writing and digital skills may be considered.
- Strong command of written English, with the ability to adapt tone for LinkedIn, Instagram, corporate announcements and stakeholder-facing communications.
- Good understanding of social media platforms, content formats, hashtags, basic analytics and digital engagement practices.
- Creative eye for visuals, photography, short-form video and storytelling, with the ability to translate operational or industry topics into engaging content.
- Organised, meticulous and able to manage multiple content deadlines, approvals and stakeholder inputs in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Confident in coordinating with internal departments, external agencies, vendors, cruise partners and corporate communications teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required; familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, social media scheduling tools or basic video editing software would be advantageous.
