About SATS New Product Development for Gateway Services


SATS is strengthening its new global New Product Development (NPD) capability focused on identifying, validating and commercialising new growth opportunities across our network. Operating at the intersection of product innovation, enterprise transformation and commercial strategy, the NPD team partners across Commercial, Operations, Technology and Finance to develop new service offerings that strengthen SATS’s long-term competitive position.


The team is intentionally lean, senior and execution-focused. AI-enabled ways of working are embedded into daily operations to improve the speed, quality and efficiency of research, analysis and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities


As Senior Manager/AVP, Scaling & Commercialisation, you will lead the transformation of validated concepts into fully operational,  commercially launched products and services. Positioned at the centre of enterprise execution, this role partners closely with the Discovery Lead and Senior Programme Manager to ensure seamless transition from incubation to scalable, market-ready offerings.

You will develop investment cases, align cross-functional stakeholders, drive operational readiness, lead go-to-market execution and manage organisational change to enable successful launches within a global matrix environment. Operating as a senior commercial and transformation leader, you will collaborate with executives across Commercial, Operations, Finance and Technology to ensure new products move from concept to scalable business outcomes.


Business Case Development & Investment Alignment

  • Receive validated concepts from the Discovery team and translate them into scalable commercial opportunities
  • Develop robust business cases including market sizing, investment requirements, financial modelling, margin analysis and risk scenarios
  • Present recommendations and secure alignment from senior leadership and investment stakeholders
  • Ensure commercial viability and strategic alignment throughout the scaling process


Product Scaling & Operational Readiness

  • Lead the end-to-end development of validated concepts into launch-ready products and services
  • Coordinate cross-functional workstreams across Operations, Technology, Finance, Legal, Marketing, Product Management and Commercial teams
  • Define operating models, implementation plans, delivery processes and readiness milestones covering go-to-market strategy, costing principles, pricing guardrails, marketing plans, order fulfilment, service delivery, support loops, customer feedback mechanisms, FinOps, legal templates, process development, organisational design, performance management and sales enablement
  • Manage programme timelines, dependencies, risks and escalations across multiple concurrent initiatives


Go-to-Market & Commercialisation

  • Develop go-to-market strategies including segmentation, pricing, channel strategy, launch sequencing, marketing plans, sales enablement and operational rollout
  • Partner with commercial teams to develop positioning, sales collateral and customer engagement plans
  • Oversee launch execution and early-stage commercial performance monitoring
  • Support transition of mature products into long-term Product Management ownership after stabilisation and operational embedding


Change Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Drive organisational alignment and adoption required to embed new products successfully
  • Influence senior stakeholders across a complex global matrix organisation without direct authority
  • Build credibility and momentum across operational and commercial functions globally across Singapore, APAC, EMEA and the Americas
  • Resolve cross-functional challenges with speed, structure and commercial pragmatism
  • Contribute to internal and external thought leadership on commercial innovation, product scaling and transformation capability development

Key Requirements

 

  • With more than 12 years of relevant experience across transformation, commercial strategy, programme leadership, product commercialisation, go-to-market execution or enterprise change management. 
  • Proven track record in developing and presenting business cases at senior leadership or C-suite level.
  • Experience in consulting and transformation in logistics, cargo, aviation services, supply chain or adjacent sectors strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience managing enterprise-scale launches or commercial transformation programmes.
  • Ongoing commitment to professional development and continuous learning through industry engagement, conferences, certifications or training.
  • Ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives in large matrix organisations.
