Key Responsibilities
The Role
- The PMO of Global Procurement is a critical role of procurement to influence significant change management across the Food Solutions, BUs and functions to ensure procurement governance, procurement talent management, procurement team capability building & uplifting, best practice sharing and drive sustainable procurement initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Support VP of Global Procurement in building world class Procurement capabilities, includes leading the adoption, integration, and optimization of common project management capabilities (tools, processes, skills, DMAIC process, 4-Step Sourcing Process and Deep Dive routines) across Food Solutions procurement function.
- Setting up processes to identify opportunities and synergies across Food Solutions procurement function. This role is pivotal in ensuring that capability is being built within global & local procurement teams to ensure delivery.
- Lead the adoption and integration of a disciplined and collaborative project management approach relating to Operational Excellence and Collaborative Procurement Model through OE and 4SSP routines.
- Create an integrated project management capability across Food Solutions procurement function. Coaching global & local procurement heads and their teams in developing and implementing sound category strategies, OE and Sourcing processes, routines/structures, and build templates/tools to achieve optimization of global & local program execution.
- Provide Category and Market subject matter expertise to global & local procurement teams through all aspects of the procurement process, including on the job training through all stages of the process.
- Ensure Training and Development Plans in place for all global & local procurement teams. Track and measure status and effectiveness of such training plans and report to VP of Global Procurement accordingly for improvement plans if applicable. All teams should be included in OE training.
- Manage the routines and rigor creating and delivering periodical program status meetings. Help identify and remediating issues and assist in the identification of resource needs and project and program risks. Facilitate team meetings.
- Ensure BUs follow Collaborative Procurement Model and ensure compliance with Global Procurement policies and procedures.
- Support and collaborate with Process & System Manager in developing new processes to enable the achievement of efficient and effective tactical and strategic sourcing and purchasing.
- Influence cross functional stakeholders in change management to embrace and leverage the 4SSP, OE capability, supporting tools and processes, and other management routines.
- Assist project teams with material preparations; ensure teams are following correct PMO process
- Lead procurement processes and policies to address key challenges to drive vision, inspire and manage.
- Build key relationship across functions within Food Solutions and external suppliers.
- Create win-win strategies with Internal and External Stakeholders to allow them to develop and become strategic partners.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 7-10 years of strategic sourcing experience in procurement, preferably gained in FMCG/ Hospitality/ Retail / Food/ Consulting
- Experience in procurement, category management, strategic sourcing such as 4SSP, consulting and/or business operations
- Experience in people management and talent development
- Proven experience in managing complex internal and external partnerships for outsourced and insourced Procurement services as well as change management projects
- Proven ability to effectively partner/ influence/ lead to achieve business results
- Track record of being proactive, with the ability to identify and provide solutions to threats and opportunities and advise Senior Management
- Experience in managing large scale transformation routines and disciplines to drive and measure economic value to the company. The position will frequently interact with cross-functional teams, internal and external stakeholders.
