Key Responsibilities
We are seeking for an experienced Commercial Finance Business Partner to support our Food Solutions overseas business units. This role is a key member of the finance team, partnering closely with business leaders to drive financial performance, support strategic initiatives, and provide actionable insights to enable data-driven decision-making.
The ideal candidate will possess strong FP&A capabilities, business partnering experience, financial modelling expertise, and a proven ability to influence stakeholders across a regional business environment.
The role involves close business partnering with Food Solutions overseas business units and related projects.
- Financial planning and analysis:
- Lead and coordinate with overseas business units into driving and preparing annual budgets, quarterly forecast and 5-year projections.
- Assess and incorporate the financial impact of business strategies, market developments, and operational initiatives into business plans.
- Perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to support decision-making and risk management. assessing and incorporating financial impact of business strategies and decisions.
- Financial reporting:
- Review overseas business units’ monthly financial results and key business drivers to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Analyze their financial performance, identify trends and risks, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
- Monitor overseas business units’ performance against budgets, forecasts, and strategic targets.
- Financial analysis:
- Partner with overseas business units to develop and review costs, margins, and profitability analyses to identify opportunities for business improvement and cost optimization.
- Evaluate and challenge the impact of raw material, production, logistics, and operating cost changes on business performance.
- Provide financial insights to support pricing strategies, margin expansion initiatives, and profitability enhancement efforts.
- Business partnering and stakeholder management:
- Build strong relationships with overseas business unit leaders, finance teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted advisor by providing financial insights and recommendations to support business objectives.
- Collaborate with fellow finance business partners to drive alignment and achieve common goals across the organization.
- Compliance and governance:
- Ensure financial processes and transactions of the overseas business units are compliant with financial regulations, accounting standards, internal controls, internal financial policies and approval limits.

- Strategic decision support:
- Develop and review financial models developed by overseas business units to support strategic business initiatives, investments, and growth opportunities.
- Challenge and validate key business assumptions to ensure robust financial projections.
- Evaluate investment proposals through financial metrics including ROI, NPV, IRR, and payback analysis.
- Provide managerial oversight, guidance and mentorship to fellow team members, ensuring effective execution of responsibilities and professional growth.
- Other ad-hoc duties assigned.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline.
- CA, CPA or ACCA accredited or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in FP&A, Finance Business Partnering, Commercial Finance, or related roles.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, financial modelling and business case evaluation.
- Experience in product costing, profitability analysis, and pricing support will be an advantage.
- Possess good presentation skills to articulate financial performances, business case evaluation to key stakeholders.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and partner with cross-functional teams.
- Experience supporting regional or multi-country operations is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Results-oriented individual who is self-motivated, independent, resourceful, and adaptive to new ways of working.
- Able to work in face-paced environment, good organizational and prioritization skills
- Highly proficient in data manipulation and visualization using Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel overseas periodically to support business partnering, performance reviews, strategic initiatives, and stakeholder engagement with regional business units.
