Key Responsibilities
The individual is responsible for coordinating, supervising, and overseeing all aspects of the Tray Assembly section within Preset Operations. The role ensures adherence to quality, safety, and operational standards through effective manpower deployment, staff training, process compliance, and cost control. This individual is also accountable for achieving productivity targets, managing labour costs, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage labour deployment and manpower planning to achieve productivity and operational targets, including supporting the recruitment, onboarding, training, and scheduling of operational staff.
- Monitor and control departmental budgets, operating costs, and labour expenses to ensure efficient resource utilization.
- Maintain the kitchen and surrounding areas in compliance with company standards, health regulations, workplace safety, and food hygiene requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate procurement activities, and conduct regular audits of par stock levels to ensure operational readiness.
- Establish, implement, and ensure compliance with operating controls, SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Leverage AI, automation, and digital tools to enhance operational efficiency, improve productivity, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure effective communication within the department and build strong working relationships with employees, HODs, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders to support operational effectiveness and business needs.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues, customer feedback, employee concerns, and audit findings in a timely and effective manner.
- Ensure departmental objectives and operational goals are aligned with the Company's strategic priorities and business objectives
- Provide operational leadership and support to ensure production requirements and service delivery standards are consistently achieved.
- Provide operational support as required and ensure production requirements are met.
Key Requirements
- Prior management experience in food manufacturing will be advantageous
- Good Business acumen with strong drive for results.
- Strong management skill and ability to manage a team towards the accomplishment of goals
- Comfortable to provide coaching, advice and assistance when required
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at once
- Experience in working with a multicultural team
- Comfortable to use computer and computer system related to areas of work (i.e. SAP)
