Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end procurement of building and facility services, technical and operational equipment, spare parts, and group energy – ensuring alignment with user specifications, safety standards, and operational timelines.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure procurement supports critical safety and security functions, including aviation, infrastructure integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Champion sustainability and ESG in sourcing strategies by integrating responsible procurement practices, ethical supplier selection, carbon-conscious decision-making, and supplier compliance tracking.
- Leverage AI tools and digital platforms to enhance procurement intelligence – enabling demand forecasting, supplier risk monitoring, and smarter negotiation strategies.
- Use data-driven decision making by collecting, analyzing, and presenting procurement data (e.g., spend analytics, supplier KPIs, cost structures) to support transparency, reporting, and strategic planning.
- Continuously improve procurement governance by reviewing and refining SG Hub and regional procurement processes to enhance efficiency, accountability, and value-for-money sourcing.
- Collaborate closely with users to develop clear and comprehensive specifications for competitive bidding and support contract formulation aligned with safety, operational, and sustainability requirements.
- Lead or support high-value tenders and negotiations, focusing on commercial excellence, legal compliance, and proactive sourcing strategies informed by market trends and geopolitical insights.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior buyers, building a resilient and agile team equipped with the skills to navigate the evolving procurement landscape.
- Represent the Procurement team in Tender Committee sessions, audits, and internal reviews with professionalism and clarity.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a relevant technical field. Additional qualifications in Procurement (e.g., CIPS, CPM, CSCP) or Data Analytics are advantageous.
- With 3–6 years of relevant experience in procurement of technical infrastructure, M&E services, or industrial/airport equipment.
- Demonstrated experience using IBM Maximo, SAP S/4HANA, Ariba, and related e-procurement or ERP systems.
- Strong proficiency in data handling, analysis, and visualization, including Excel, dashboards, or business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Excellent commercial acumen, with a deep understanding of cost structures, supplier markets, and strategic sourcing methodologies.
- Working knowledge of safety and security-related procurement standards, including operational risk mitigation and vendor compliance in high-risk environments.
- Familiar with ESG frameworks, green procurement, and sustainability-related supply chain practices.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex data and procurement decisions to diverse stakeholders.
