Key Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for procurement activities of building & facilities, cargo and ground support equipment to support airport operation, ensuring prompt delivery of spares and services, group energy whilst meeting users’ specifications and requirements at a timely manner and at the most competitive price(s).
  • Review and improve existing procurement procedures and processes to improve corporate governance, staff productivity and consolidate users’ requirements to source for most competitive value buys.
  • Follow up closely with business groups to identify sourcing needs and ensure purchases are aligned with Company’s procurement strategies
  • Deliver timely procurement support to business groups and attend to suppliers’ queries and clarifications when required
  • Work closely with team members and provide guidance, training and support direct reporting staff to optimize their contributions.
  • Ensure that all purchasing activities and documentations are carried out timely and in compliance with the Purchasing Procedures and SATS Financial & Operating Approval Limits at all times.
  • Ensure that the tender specifications and requirements are sufficiently detailed and complete for competitive quotes.
  • Attend tender interviews and conduct negotiations with suppliers.
  • Attend Tenders Committee’s meetings with user for award recommendation.

Key Requirements

 

  • Preferably possess a degree in any Engineering discipline
  • Preferably with experience in procurement of building and facility works and services, and/or procurement of equipment to support airport operation or industrial equipment. 
  • Experience in IBM MAXIMO, Ariba and SAP S4 Hana would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of MS office suites is essential
  • Meticulous and pro-active
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent Team player and able to lead a team of buyers
