Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a differentiated quality assurance strategy aligned with FS business objectives and meeting customers and stakeholder’s requirements.
- Set quality assurance goals and KPIs, and drive initiatives to achieve them.
- Collaborate with senior management to integrate quality management practices into the overall business strategy, foster a culture of excellence
- Regional Quality Management:
- Work with regional BU leads to develop, implement and maintenance of quality management systems and processes regionally and aligning with Singapore HQ Food units
- Ensure compliance with regional industry regulations, standards, and company policies.
- Lead efforts to achieve and maintain certifications (e.g., ISO, GMP).
- Develop and deliver training programs on food safety, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure that all employees are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to uphold quality and safety standards.
- Regional Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for quality improvements and lead initiatives to enhance processes and systems.
- Implement and monitor quality control and assurance processes.
- Use data and analytics to drive decisions and demonstrate the impact of quality initiatives.
- Regional Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate quality-related risks and ensure effective crisis management.
- Develop and implement risk assessment and management strategies.
- Lead the investigation of any quality incidents, propose and implement corrective interventions in a systematic way.
- Reporting and Compliance:
- Prepare and present regular reports on quality performance and improvement initiatives to senior management.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of quality metrics and compliance issues.
- Lead to prepare and present quality reports to SATS Board and management with support from SQ Quality Control Leader
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the regional primary point of contact for quality-related matters in FS.
- Communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to address quality issues and ensure satisfaction.
- Represent the company in quality audits, inspections, and meetings.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor quality teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure the team’s development and effectiveness.
- Drive the collaboration across BUs.
- Build capabilities available across the organization
Key Requirements
- At least 15 years of experience in food safety and quality management at APAC level, with a strong background in regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
- Extensive knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems (e.g., GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000).
- Ability to drive continuous improvement and foster a culture of quality.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of driving quality improvements.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
