Key Responsibilities


Daily Resource Management

  • Lead and manage ramp operations to meet airline SLAs and operational standards.
  • Monitor staff deployment and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) serviceability with Ramp Duty Managers, Contract Supervisors, and support teams.
  • Ensure optimal manpower and equipment allocation during shifts for both company and contract staff.


Command and Control

  • Coordinate closely with Duty Terminal Managers (DTMs), Passenger Services Operations Managers, and customer airlines to ensure on-time performance (OTP).
  • Submit daily operational reports to Apron Management.
  • Conduct staff interviews and investigations for incidents or accidents.
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure ramp areas are free from Foreign Object Debris (FOD)


Coordination with Authorities

  • Liaise with Changi Airport Group (CAG) and relevant authorities on ramp-related matters.
  • Oversee efficient aircraft departure operations by ensuring:

                 - Adequate manpower and serviceable GSE availability.

                 - Staff familiarity with airline-specific requirements.

                 - Compliance with precise flight handling and departure timing procedures.


Baggage and Cargo Operations

  • Ensure on-time delivery and transfer of baggage and cargo according to precision timings.
  • Oversee aircraft-to-aircraft cargo transfers to meet operational and airline requirements.
  • Monitor staffing, equipment, and adherence to airline procedures for both arrival and departure flights.


Mishandling Prevention

  • Enforce correct loading and unloading sequences (“first in, last out” / “last in, first out”) according to the Loading Instruction Report (LIR).
  • Ensure proper segregation of cargo and baggage, with accurate flight and destination labeling.
  • Conduct physical checks to prevent misrouting or mishandling of baggage and cargo.


Safety Management

  • Promote a safety-first culture through adherence to established loading/unloading practices.
  • Oversee daily safety audits and ensure staff receive appropriate training for their roles.
  • Ensure only serviceable and well-maintained GSEs are used.Enforce roadway safety, defensive driving, PPE usage, and safe work practices among all staff.


Security and Compliance

  • Uphold aviation security standards to prevent violations and ensure passenger safety.
  • Ensure thorough offload searches and verification of baggage tag numbers to prevent discrepancies.
  • Maintain vigilance and strict compliance with all airport security protocols.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in any relevant field of studies.
  • With 3 to 4 years of working experience, preferably in Ground Handling and/or Airline related fields.
  • Strong passion for the aviation industry and its dynamic environment.
