Key Responsibilities
1. Contribute to operational digitalisation and innovations that set the foundation needed for AI transformation.
2. Work with business users to understand existing operational processes, document workflows, identify pain points, and translate business requirements into practical digital solutions.
3. Assist in collecting, cleaning, analysing, and visualising operational data to identify trends, exceptions, root causes, and opportunities for productivity improvement.
4. Design and develop prototypes or automation solutions.
5. Support the development of process maps, requirements documents, dashboards, business cases, standard operating procedures, and user documentation.
6. Working with stakeholders from Operations, HR, Finance, IT and other functions to validate requirements and test proposed solutions.
7. Participate in user acceptance testing, data validation, prototype demonstrations and implementation activities.
8. Understand operational problems and develop solutions that improve productivity, visibility, accuracy, governance and user experience.
Key Requirements
1. Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to break an operational problem into processes, data, business rules and system requirements.
2. Comfortable working with data using Excel or Google Sheets, including formulas, pivot tables, data cleaning and basic analysis.
3. Knowledge of at least one technical or analytical tool such as Python, SQL, Google Apps Script, JavaScript, Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, Power Automate or similar platforms would be advantageous.
4. Able to create process maps, flowcharts, swimlane diagrams, data models or simple system workflows.
5. Strong communication skills are required because the intern will need to interview operational users, clarify requirements and explain findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
6. Demonstrate curiosity, initiative and willingness to investigate ambiguous operational problems.
7. Experience with AI tools, APIs, automation, databases or application development.
