Key Responsibilities


The Risk & Compliance Manager supports the AVP, Risk & Compliance in executing the organization’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Business Continuity Management (BCM) Framework. This role is responsible for the day-to-day implementation of framework across business units, ensuring activities are carried out consistently and effectively.


Risk Management

  • Identify practical, business-relevant ways to implement the ERM framework, ensuring it is fit-for-purpose and adds real value to business units rather than being a compliance exercise alone.
  • Advise business units on the risks and controls identification and assessment process, and guide them in properly documenting risks, controls, and assessment outcomes.
  • Review business units’ internal control environments and identify opportunities to strengthen overall internal controls.
  • Propose management monitoring mechanisms to track key risks and assess the ongoing effectiveness of controls.
  • Coordinate and drive the assurance process across business units, including planning, follow-up and reporting of outcomes.


Business Continuity Management

  • Develop, or guide business units in developing, Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) that are practical and effective for managing a crisis.
  • Coordinate and drive BCP testing and simulation exercise to improve business units’ maturity and capability in handling a crisis.
  • Advise business units on business continuity matters during actual incidents.
  • Monitor business continuity readiness across business units, identifying gaps and areas for improvement, and continuously look for ways to strengthen readiness.


Cross-Functional

  • Deliver training and workshops, including developing communication materials, to build risk and business continuity awareness across business units.
  • Serve as the point of contact for risk and business continuity related matters.
  • Partner with business units to handle queries or requests from external parties.
  • Prepare materials for management and board reporting as required

Key Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution in a relevant discipline
  • Relevant experience in risk management and internal controls
  • Experience in business continuity and crisis management
  • Business knowledge of the aviation industry will be a preference
  • Good understanding of risk management and business continuity principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to guide business units through documentation and assessment processes
