Key Responsibilities
This is a role within SATS Food Solutions to assist SATS Catering (SCAT) Business Unit in optimizing our inventory to minimize inventory costs while maximizing in stock availability thereby maximizing revenue. The role needs to work with key stakeholders in executing the Inventory Optimization process within SCAT. Your secondary role is to provide data insights and drive process improvements to support our key performance indicator such as inventory health status, customer satisfaction, etc. She/he will need to work with our stakeholders to drive work improvements while managing the demand and supply aspect of our ever-expanding global business. Additionally, this role is also charged to perform end-to-end analysis to conduct root- cause analysis and proposed resolutions related to planning and inventory related issue.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and review inventory data and parameters to maintain optimal safety stock levels for various scenarios and options as well as to identify potential risk and opportunities to proactively adjust inventory plans
- Monitor inventory across all warehouse locations and replenishment to minimize shortages, stockouts, and excess inventory
- Collaborate with the stakeholders (Operations, Data team, Client Management team, etc) to assess master/ transactional datasets to improve planning parameters and drive systems and work process improvements
- Proactively review and monitor potential aged, near-expiry, or slow-moving inventory and work with stakeholders on potential solutions
- Plan, review and monitor new implementation and product cycle of seasonal items
- Provide inventory-related input into the various necessary S&OP/IBP process and meetings
- Compile and report monthly Key Performance Indicators for IBP including Demand, Inventory, Production and Supply Planning
- Support any demand and supply related initiatives, digital transformation efforts and the adoption of new technologies across the Business Unit
Key Requirements
- Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline preferred
- Minimum 5 years of related experience within business process improvement and inventory optimization
- Experience in data analytics within a supply chain function is highly valued
- Prior experience with working in SAP S/4 and Supply Chain Planning and Optimization systems
- Strong analytical and modeling skills with extensive data analysis (Excel / Access/ BI or more advanced tools)
- Experience in supply chain planning tools/ software in a food catering/ food & beverage or similar industry is a plus
- Strength in statistical modelling and data analysis methods are of advantage
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills grounded in continuous quality improvement required
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- A curious mindset with a keen interest in understanding work processes and identifying areas for improvement
- Proven ability to analyze issues, propose effective solutions, and implement changes successfully
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and constantly evolving environment
