Key Responsibilities
- Define refurbishment scopes, engineering specifications and approve engineering improvements/modifications for airport specialty equipment and vehicles/ground support equipment.
- Develop material packages, test equipment and material purchase strategies and plans, as well refurbishment program contracts
- Oversee production activities at off-site and on-site workshops. Identify lean initiatives for contractors to adopt and improve contract performance and prices.
- Conduct receipt inspections, in-progress inspections and final commissioning/testing of refurbished units.
- Coordinate fleet expansion activities, including ramp-up, training, and workforce induction.
- Work closely with SATS Procurement team to drive value capture and cost optimization over life cycle.
- Ensure refurbishment program timelines are met.
Key Requirements
- Degree in Engineering (Masters preferred) with 7+ years of senior technical and management experience in large-scale procurement, refurbishment, or maintenance projects involving service providers and in-house teams. Includes planning logistics support such as materials, training, testing, and spares provisioning.
- Relevant experience in aviation ground ops, ground handling, aviation maintenance, land transport, or industrial fleet management (mechanical, hydraulic, electronic systems, engines, electrification).
- Familiar with technologies like predictive maintenance, automation, and autonomous systems.
- Able to work on weekends or public holidays when required (e.g., during airport emergencies or critical operations).
- Possession of a Class 3 driving license is a plus.
