Key Responsibilities
- Lead sourcing and category management across defined categories, ensuring alignment with business units/functions from early planning through the 7-step sourcing process (7SSP), including analysis, negotiation, contracting, and supplier management to drive productivity and cost efficiency.
- Oversee governance and compliance through CPM tracking, tender evaluations, and senior-level approvals, ensuring accurate reporting and sign-offs.
- Manage and develop procurement teams, fostering subject matter expertise and adherence to sourcing standards.
- Drive collaboration across geographies and business units to share best practices, identify regional/global sourcing opportunities, and enhance process efficiencies.
- Ensure robust analytics capability to support spend analysis, demand management, and strategic buying decisions.
- Monitor supplier performance, risk, and relationship management in partnership with relevant teams, ensuring timely resolution of disputes and compliance with audits.
- Partner with strategic suppliers to implement cost improvement initiatives aligned with category strategies.
- Maintain compliance with Global Procurement Policy and operational procedures, facilitating stakeholder approvals for spending commitments.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or Supply Chain Management (preferred).
- At least 7 years of strategic sourcing experience in procurement, ideally within FMCG, Hospitality, Retail, or Consulting sectors.
- Strong background in procurement, consulting, category management, strategic sourcing methodologies (e.g., 7SSP), and business operations.
- Proven experience in people management, training, and talent development.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex internal and external partnerships for both outsourced and insourced procurement services, as well as lead change management projects.
- Excellent leadership, strategic business management, and change management skills.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing abilities.In-depth knowledge of category management, supply market dynamics, and portfolio management.
- Expertise in procurement analytics, strategic sourcing under the Collaborative Procurement Model (CPM), and operational excellence with a focus on process improvement.
