Key Responsibilities
The Manager, Solutions (Logistics & Distribution) plays a pivotal role in driving the design, development, and implementation of innovative logistics and distribution solutions within the integrated supply chain. This role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, operational expertise, and stakeholder engagement to deliver cost-efficient, customer-focused, and scalable distribution strategies that align with business objectives.
The role will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, customers, and external partners to ensure seamless end-to-end logistics operations, optimize service delivery, and enable continuous improvement across the distribution network.
- Solution Design & Development
- Develop, evaluate, and implement logistics and distribution solutions that improve efficiency, service quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead network design and optimization projects (warehousing, transportation, and last-mile distribution).
- Leverage data-driven analysis and advanced tools to model scenarios and recommend best-fit solutions.
- Operational Excellence
- Ensure alignment of logistics and distribution strategies with integrated supply chain goals.
- Partner with operations teams to translate solutions into executable processes and SOPs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the subject matter expert for logistics & distribution in customer solutioning discussions.
- Partner with commercial and account management teams to develop customized solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Act as the primary liaison between business units, operations, and external logistics partners.
- Technology & Innovation
- Evaluate and recommend digital tools, automation, and emerging technologies that enhance logistics capabilities.
- Promote adoption of advanced analytics and visibility platforms to support proactive decision-making.
- People Leadership & Collaboration
- Manage and mentor a solutions team focused on logistics and distribution design.
- Foster a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams across procurement, planning, manufacturing, and customer service.
Key Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain solutions design.
- Proven track record in managing large-scale logistics projects and solution implementations.
- Experience in 3PL/4PL, integrated supply chain solutions, or consultancy highly desirable.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong expertise in logistics network design, transportation management, and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in supply chain modeling tools (e.g., Llamasoft, AnyLogistix, CAST, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of ERP and TMS/WMS platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Familiarity with emerging supply chain technologies (automation, AI, blockchain, IoT).
Leadership & Interpersonal Skills
- Strong stakeholder management and customer engagement capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong leadership with the ability to mentor and develop high-performing teams.
