Key Responsibilities
The role drives APAC performance management and operational productivity improvement across cargo and ground handling operations, converting operational and financial data into clear insights, management actions, and measurable outcomes. It establishes consistent performance reviews, KPI governance, dashboard visibility, and productivity improvement disciplines across business units. The role also retains responsibility for Lean Six Sigma capability building and improvement projects, using structured problem-solving to close performance gaps and sustain results.
Performance Management, Business Insights & Governance
- Lead the APAC operational performance management framework across cargo and ground handling operations.
- Establish and govern KPIs, performance targets, review cadence and reporting standards across APAC Business Units.
- Identify gaps, risks and improvement opportunities by analysing actual, budget, forecast and target performance data.
- Facilitate monthly and periodic business performance reviews with management and Business Units.
- Develop analytical frameworks, forecasting models and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making and resource planning.
- Conduct deep-dive performance analysis and root cause investigations on productivity, cost, service quality and operational performance variances.
- Monitor action plans and ensure timely closure of performance gaps through disciplined governance and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide management with actionable business insights and recommendations to improve operational and financial performance.
Productivity Management, Digital Solutions & Benchmarking
- Own and continuously enhance APAC productivity management solutions, including productivity dashboards, scorecards and performance tracking tools.
- Develop and govern APAC productivity roadmaps aligned with operational priorities and strategic objectives.
- Lead digitalization initiatives to automate operational reporting, streamline workflows and improve management visibility.
- Drive implementation of operational data auto-feed solutions to improve reporting efficiency, accuracy and timeliness.
- Partner with Business Units to identify productivity opportunities and develop sustainable productivity improvement initiatives.
- Establish productivity benchmarks and comparative performance analysis across APAC operations to identify best practices and performance gaps.
- Support development of data-driven workforce planning and productivity optimization strategies.
- Promote adoption of digital tools and technologies to strengthen operational decision-making and performance management capabilities.
Continuous Improvement, Lean Six Sigma & Capability Building
- Lead deployment of Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies across APAC operations.
- Deliver Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training programmes and mentor project teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Coach leaders and teams in structured problem-solving, root cause analysis and process improvement methodologies.
- Facilitate cross-functional improvement projects focused on productivity, quality, service and cost optimization.
- Build organisational capability through training, workshops, toolkits and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Maintain and strengthen APAC Continuous Improvement and Lean Six Sigma communities to encourage collaboration and sharing of best practices.
- Monitor project benefits realization and partner with Finance and operational stakeholders to validate improvement outcomes.
- Scale successful improvement solutions and best practices across APAC Business Units where applicable.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Must be a Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, preferably with Black Belt.
- Previous experience teaching Lean Six Sigma certifications.
- Must be comfortable interacting with, and coaching, individuals at various levels of an organization with the appropriate level of tact.
- Must have strong organizational skills.
- Must have an extremely high level of integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to manage stakeholders across the organization.
