Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Manager, HSSE, this role leads HSSE assurance and compliance across SATS Food Solutions. You will drive audit and assurance programmes, regulatory compliance, ISO 45001 and BizSafe certifications, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen safety performance and governance.

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead HSSE assurance programmes, internal audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory, corporate and management system requirements.
• Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of ISO 45001, BizSafe and other HSSE management systems and certifications.
• Monitor audit findings, compliance obligations and performance trends, ensuring timely corrective actions and sustainable improvements.
• Oversee contractor and third-party assurance programmes to strengthen HSSE performance and compliance.
• Provide expert guidance on HSSE governance, regulatory compliance, incident investigations and management systems.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards and HSSE performance metrics to support decision-making and governance.
• Support HSSE training, awareness and capability-building initiatives to enhance organisational competency and audit readiness.
• Collaborate with business units, corporate functions and regional stakeholders to promote a strong culture of safety, compliance and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Engineering, Environmental Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Workplace Safety & Health, HSSE Assurance, Compliance or Management Systems.
• Qualified Internal Auditor with practical experience conducting ISO 45001 internal audits. ISO 45001 Lead Auditor qualification will be advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of the Singapore Workplace Safety & Health Act and subsidiary legislation, Fire Safety Act, ISO 45001 Management System and BizSafe requirements, with the ability to interpret regulatory changes and translate them into operational compliance requirements.
• Experience managing ISO certification, surveillance and recertification audits with external certification bodies.
• Experience establishing and maintaining legal registers and compliance obligation registers will be advantageous.
• Experience developing and implementing assurance programmes for contractors and third-party service providers will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001) or experience supporting EMS implementation and maintenance will be advantageous.
• ACLP (Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance) certification or at least two years' experience developing and delivering adult learning or HSSE training programmes will be advantageous.
• Experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis and corrective action management.
• Strong analytical, organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all organisational levels.
• Self-motivated, meticulous and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiar with digital HSSE management systems, audit management platforms and data analytics dashboards.c
  
  

This role is based at the SATS Maintenance Center, 34 Changi North Crescent, Singapore 499614. When required to conduct audits, you will also need to visit sites under our SATS Food Solutions businesses located in the western region of Singapore.
