Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the SATS Food Solutions Regional Security Manager, the Manager HSSE (Security) will partner closely with SATS Inflight Catering operations to safeguard people, assets, and operational integrity. The role is responsible for overseeing and strengthening security governance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving the implementation of the SATS Security Management System across Inflight Catering operations.
- Provide leadership and operational oversight for aviation and physical security within Inflight Catering, in coordination with appointed security service providers
- Advise and support operational departments on security policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements
- Lead and conduct security risk assessments across facilities, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing effective mitigation measures
- Manage and support internal and external security investigations, ensuring timely, accurate, and comprehensive reporting
- Drive the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the SATS Security Incident Management Programme
- Facilitate and lead security governance forums, presenting performance metrics, risk insights, and key initiatives to stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, industry partners, and security networks to enhance intelligence sharing and collaboration
- Champion HSSE initiatives and promote a strong HSSE culture across the business unit partnering with other HSSE stakeholders
- Undertake additional duties as assigned to support business and operational needs
Key Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant management experience in corporate security, aviation security, or law enforcement, preferably within Singapore aviation operations
- Strong expertise in security investigations and incident management
- Demonstrated ability to assess security risks and implement practical, context-specific solutions
- Proven ability to operate effectively in both collaborative and independent environments
- Resilient under pressure, with the ability to respond decisively to security incidents
- Solid working knowledge of aviation security regulations and frameworks, including ICAO and IATA standards, as well as local regulatory requirements (e.g. APD Security Directives)
- Experience in managing large pool of security providers
- Experience in security certifications and standards such as RA3, ACC3, TAPA, ISO 28000, ISO45001 and C-TPAT is advantageous
- This role requires travelling between SATS Inflight Catering Centre 1 & SATS Inflight Catering Centre 2 on a frequent basis
