Key Responsibilities
The Global Mobility Manager acts as the Center of Expertise (CoE) for all mobility-related matters, managing the end-to-end international assignment lifecycle while ensuring alignment with external market practices and internal compliance as well as driveing continuous improvement processes. This role also contributes to broader global or regional rewards initiatives.
Center of Expertise & Policy Governance
• Serve as the CoE for global mobility, providing thought leadership and advisory support to Human Capital (HC) and business stakeholders.
• Ensure the global mobility policy framework is competitive, compliant, and aligned with external market practices.
• Continuously review and enhance global mobility policies, guidelines, and administrative processes to improve efficiency and employee experience.
International Assignment Management
• Manage the full global mobility lifecycle from pre-assignment to repatriation or localization.
• Provide expert advice and support to assignees on global mobility-related matters.
• Coordinate with host HC, relocation vendors, and immigration providers to manage employment permits, visas, and shipment of personal effects.
• Work closely with tax advisors on hypothetical tax calculations, tax filings, and other assignment-related tax matters.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support
• Partner with key stakeholders (e.g., HCBPs, HRIS, Payroll, Insurance, Finance) to ensure smooth execution of mobility processes and accurate data updates.
• Maintain compliance with global tax, immigration, and HC requirements.
• Prepare and manage documentation, such as assignment letters, cost projections, and mobility-related reports.
Vendor Management
• Validate and process invoices for global mobility-related services, including intercompany billing and vendor charges.
• Obtain quotations for ad hoc services (e.g., temporary housing, language support) as needed.
• Manage relationships and service agreements with third-party vendors, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
Rewards Projects & Broader HC Contribution
• Lead regional or global rewards projects as part of the broader Total Rewards team.
• Contribute to initiatives related to compensation, benefits, or mobility policy integration following M&A or business expansion.
Key Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in global mobility management.
• Prior experience in regional or global rewards including employee share scheme administration would be a strong advantage.
• Subject matter expertise in global mobility and a strong understanding of market trends and best practices.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions and geographies.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Clear, concise communication skills and cultural sensitivity in a global context.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
