Key Responsibilities
The Manager, Finance Business Partner (FBP) serves as the strategic finance partner to the Commercial Catering, Main Kitchen and Corporate Functions teams. The role is responsible for driving profitable growth, improving kitchen capacity utilisation, enhancing operational efficiency, and ensuring disciplined management of corporate overheads.
The incumbent will provide financial leadership, performance insights, scenario modelling, business case evaluation and decision support to operational and commercial stakeholders.
Commercial Business Partnering
- Partner with Commercial Catering team to drive revenue growth and margin expansion.
- Analyse customer profitability, contract profitability and product mix performance.
- Review pricing models and support tender processes to ensure targeted margins are achieved.
- Identify revenue enhancement and cost optimisation opportunities.
- Support strategic tenders, RFPs and business development initiatives through financial modelling.
Corporate Functions Business Partnering
- Partner with the corporate function teams in terms of planning and governance of corporate overhead budgets.
- Monitor actual spending against budget and drive accountability across cost centres.
- Develop and monitor main kitchen utilisation metrics across production lines.
- Analyse capacity constraints, throughput and labour productivity.
- Identify sustainable cost reduction opportunities while maintaining service levels.
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead annual budget, quarterly forecast and 5-year projections planning cycles.
- Deliver monthly management reporting and performance reviews.
- Conduct variance analysis and identify key business drivers.
- Build financial models to support business growth initiatives, new customer contracts, capital investment proposals and productivity projects.
Governance & Controls
- Ensure compliance and governance with financial regulations, accounting standards, internal controls, internal financial policies and approval limits.
- Facilitation between operations and accounting team on day to day matters, ensuing correct accounting of business
- Support audit requirements and reporting governance.
- Improve reporting processes through automation and digitalisation.
- Maintain integrity of management information and KPI reporting.
- Support on other tasks as required.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in accountancy, finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA or ACCA accredited or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Finance Business Partnering, Financial Planning & Analysis, with at least 1 year in managerial function.
- Experience in aviation industry would be highly advantageous.
- Team management - able to collaborate well with fellow SATS finance business partners in contributing to Division deliverables.
- Possess good presentation skills to articulate financial performance and outcomes to key stakeholders.
- Results-oriented individual who is self-motivated, independent, resourceful and adaptive to new ways of working.
- Able to work in fast-paced environment, with good organizational and prioritization skills.
- Highly proficient in data manipulation and visualisation using Excel and Powerpoint.
