Key Responsibilities
This role is responsible for leading the cabin services operations for SATS Inflight Catering Centre (SICC) 1 and 2, ensuring timely transportation and uplift of inflight catering meals, supplies, and equipment to aircraft in accordance with flight schedules. The Manager will directly oversee two Ops executives, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to drive team’s success and achieve operational objectives. The key responsibilities of this role are:
Operational Efficiency
- Oversee the efficient running of cabin handling operations for SICC 1 and 2.
- Establish and review procedures and work process to meet operational changes and customer requirements.
- Monitor process compliance and drive process improvements.
- Plan, manage and control section to work effectively and efficiently.
- Monitor availability of GSEs to ensure smooth operations.
Safety and Security
- Ensure a safe working improvement for all staff in the section.
- Oversee airside safety and security matters related to transportation and uplifting.
People Development
- Monitor, evaluate and enhance staff performance, including setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and recognising achievements.
- Inculcate good staff discipline, including implementing a fair but firm disciplinary measure when necessary.
- Maintain and enhance positive workplace harmony and staff morale.
Control Operational Costs
- Monitor and control operating costs, including Overtime (OT) costs and transportation claims, while ensuring high levels of efficiency and productivity.
Stakeholder Management
- Build strong working relationships with cabin executives, employees and HODs of other departments to ensure maximum integrated operating effectiveness.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers.
