Key Responsibilities
The Flight Controller (FC) is responsible for real-time monitoring & coordination of ground handling activities for all SG Hub operations, and to ensure the smooth execution of ground handling tasks passed by SIOC to the ground operations team.
This role supports the Duty Flight Controller (DFC) and the Duty Terminal Manager (DTM) to ensure operational efficiency and service excellence across all phases of flight handling through proactive communication and data-driven decision-making, with the aid of operational flight data systems used in SIOC.
- Monitor flight movements and turnaround progress through the SIOC flight data systems
- Proactively coordinate & communicate with internal & external stakeholders such as internal SATS Ops BUs, airline customers, airport agencies and service partners to ensure on-time performance & service delivery for our airline customers
- Identify and provide timely intervention to ground operational disruptions promptly, escalating issues when necessary to DFC & DTM
- Update flight status and operational data in the central flight monitoring dashboard (DSM Live) for situational awareness
- Closely monitor & collaborate with SATS Ops BUs to ensure smooth execution of tasks passed down through SIOC to Ops for operational disruptions handling or special handling (e.g. VVIP, special events,etc)
Key Requirements
- Possess a local Diploma in any discipline from a recognised institution.
- Strong situational awareness, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in operations monitoring tools and data systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment
