Key Responsibilities

Arrival Baggage Handling

  • Assist in the safe and timely unloading of baggage from Containers and Baggage Trolleys to conveyer belt system
  • Identify and segregate transfer and special handling baggage according to operational requirements
  • Ensure first bag and last bag performance targets are achieved while maintaining operational safety
  • Report any damaged baggage, equipment defects or operational irregularities to supervisor immediately
  • Maintain compliance with all baggage handling safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Assist in housekeeping and ensure work areas remain clean and free from Foreign Object Debris (FOD)

 

Departure Baggage Handling

  • Verify baggage tags to ensure the correct flight number, date, destination, and baggage classification (e.g. Business, Economy, Priority, RUSH) before loading.
  • Perform Scan-Look-Load (SLL) procedures for airlines operating on Baggage Reconciliation System (BRS) or Manual Assisted Scanning Technology (MAST) to ensure baggage is accurately reconciled prior to loading.
  • Complete manual bingo reconciliation (3rd portion) accurately for applicable flights to ensure all loaded baggage is properly accounted for and documented.
  • Report any baggage irregularities, equipment faults or safety concerns to supervisor promptly
  • Maintain compliance with all baggage handling safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Assist in housekeeping and ensure work areas remain clean and free from Foreign Object Debris (FOD)

Key Requirements

  • Able to work weekends and public holidays would be advantageous
  • Physically fit and able to perform manual lifting of heavy loads and repetitive handling tasks
  • Able to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work under time-sensitive operational conditions
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Prior experience in baggage handling or ground operations will be an advantage (training will be provided)

 

Work Timings:

  • Able to work these shift timings (730am-1230pm / 1130am – 430pm / 730pm - 430pm)
  • Able to commit at least 3 shifts per week (preferably minimally 1 weekend)
