Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the quality assurance of SAF Field Rations (FR), including incoming inspections and digitalisation of inspection results in S4 HANA System, ensuring adherence to specifications and SAF contract requirements.
  • Track the introduction of FR accessories and ensure all items comply with SAF contract requirements and food safety standards.
  • Review, vet documents and conduct necessary testing for FR to verify compliance with product specifications and contract requirements.
  • Plan and manage routine QA sampling of FR for testing, compile results, and analyse data using Pivot Tables or Business Performance Monitoring Tools.
  • Organise and execute routine joint inspections of FR with SAF HQ Supply Ration Ops & Control Team prior to release to SAF Logistics, coordinating with Warehouse, Packing, and Operations teams to ensure smooth inspections.
  • Conduct routine inspections at Customer Logistic Warehouses and monthly hygiene inspections of SFS Dry Store.
  • Support QA activities at SFS Catering Operations, including monthly food safety and hygiene inspections at SAF Cookhouses, performing random food sampling for mandatory microbiological testing, routine hygiene swabs to ensure compliance with HACCP and SAF contract requirements.
  • Assist the QA team during external food safety certifications, customer audits, ad-hoc catering events, and investigations related to customer complaints, foreign matter, or suspected food poisoning incidents.
  • Support the QA Head, QA Manager and team on QA projects, inspections at main kitchen operations, event catering, ad-hoc inspections, customer complaints, and QA validation studies.

Key Requirements

  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
  • 3 class driving licence (is preferred).
  • Prior experience in QA, food safety, or catering operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000 or similar food safety management system and standards is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency in digital tools (e.g., S4 HANA, Excel, Pivot Tables).
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to liaise with multiple stakeholders, including customers and operations teams.
  • Willingness to travel or be deployed overseas for short-term QA related assignments.
  • Motivated, proactive, and eager to grow professionally within a dynamic QA environment.
