Key Responsibilities

Role Overview

As a QA Executive in a frozen meat trading company, you will play a critical role in ensuring that all products and processes meet food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Your responsibilities include monitoring cold chain compliance across suppliers, service providers, storage, and transportation; supporting audits and inspections; managing customer complaints related to product quality; and handling food safety incidents. You will also maintain thorough documentation to ensure traceability and transparency throughout the supply chain. This role demands strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of food safety systems and cold chain management, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

•    Assist the QA Manager in ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and company food safety and quality standards.
•    Support QA initiatives aimed at improving food safety and quality assurance processes across operational workflows, contributing to process optimization and regulatory compliance.
•    Conduct onsite quality inspections at receipt, storage, and dispatch areas, with a focus on cold chain management processes to ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
•    Analyze inspection results to assess the performance and compliance of suppliers and service providers, ensuring alignment with food safety standards and quality expectations.
•    Conduct thorough document reviews to verify that suppliers meet food safety standards and quality requirements for both products and services.
•    Perform audits of service providers to ensure their operational processes comply with food safety standards and align with industry best practices.
•    Provide timely support to the QA Manager in investigating food safety and quality incidents, including on-site assessments and preparation of detailed incident reports.
•    Conduct detailed investigations of customer complaints, including product sampling, testing, and analysis in coordination with cross-functional teams.
•    Support the QA Manager in promptly addressing and resolving customer inquiries, ensuring accurate communication and maintaining high customer satisfaction.
•    Support validation activities, ensuring alignment of critical processes with both regulatory standards and internal quality protocols.
•    Support the QA Manager as required.

Key Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Food Science or Food Technology.
  • Minimum 3 years of QA experience in the food industry.
  • Possess knowledge of Food Act and Regulations, and food safety management certifications (HACCP, ISO 22000 or GFSI standards).
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently.
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous, ensuring accuracy and consistency in task assigned.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Physically fit and must be comfortable working in cold environment.
  • Must be willing and able to travel to various locations as required to support QA operations.
