Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily catering operations and staff deployment. 
  • Ensure meals are prepared, presented, and served on time in accordance with quality and hygiene standards. 
  • Monitor dining and serving areas to maintain cleanliness, organisation, and adequate stock levels. 
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, workplace safety, and company procedures. 
  • Conduct routine checks on equipment and facilities, and report maintenance issues. 
  • Handle operational issues, customer feedback, and service recovery, escalating matters when necessary. 
  • Maintain records of attendance, food quantities, wastage, incidents, and daily operations. 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of SOPs.

 

Key Requirements

  • Minimum GCE 'N' / 'O' Level or equivalent. 
  • Diploma in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or related field preferred. 
  • WSQ Food Safety Level 1 or 2 certification required. 
  • HACCP knowledge preferred. 
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. 

Experience 

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in catering, F&B, or hospitality operations. 
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience. 
  • Experience in institutional catering or large-scale food service operations preferred. 
  • Experience in customer service and complaint handling. 

Knowledge & Skills 

  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP requirements. 
  • Ability to manage catering operations, manpower deployment, and work schedules. 
  • Familiarity with catering equipment and operational procedures. 
  • Strong record-keeping and compliance management skills. 
  • Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to work under pressure. 
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to service excellence.
