Key Responsibilities
1.Operations & Event Management
- Coordinate and execute banquet, catering, and hospitality events according to event plans and orders.
- Set up event venues and ensure services meet company and industry standards.
- Develop, implement, and update hospitality Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor front-of-house and back-of-house hospitality operations.
- Drive continuous improvements in operational efficiency and service quality.
2.Staff Leadership & Training
- Train, coach, and supervise banquet and casual staff.
- Conduct pre-event briefings and ensure team members understand their duties.
- Manage staff performance, provide coaching, and support talent development.
- Participate in recruitment and workforce planning.
3.Financial & Inventory Management
- Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as revenue, labour costs, and cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Conduct stocktakes and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and maximise sales.
- Oversee labour scheduling and roster management to maintain productivity and budget compliance.
4.Customer & Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality service delivery.
- Identify new products, concepts, and business opportunities to enhance hospitality offerings.
5.Safety, Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH), food safety, HACCP, SFA, RSA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Monitor food hygiene, storage, labelling, temperature control, and allergy management practices.
- Maintain security of stock, cash, and company assets.
- Ensure incident reporting and corrective actions are completed promptly
Key Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Operations or a related field.
- Experience in hospitality, banquet operations, or corporate catering.
- Food Handler's Certificate
- FIrst aid certification preferred.
- Financial management, budgeting, and inventory control capabilities.
- Experience in staff training, coaching, and performance management.
- Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, workplace safety, and hospitality regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, teamwork and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
