Key Responsibilities
- Support the Manager/Head Chef in all areas of kitchen management.
- Assist the Manager/Head Chef in leading, supervising, rostering and training kitchen staff
- Planning and organizing food preparation including patient and events
- Ensure standards for food safety, food quality and preparation are strictly adhered to
- Inventory ordering and maintaining FIFO/FEFO
- Assist in ensuring dishing is done promptly on time.
- Set, monitor and maintain standards of food prepared
- Conduct frequent checks in section with regards to food preparation, quality, hygiene and cleanliness
- You may also be tasked on other such duties that the Company may deem relevant may also be assigned.
Key Requirements
• Relevant culinary qualification or equivalent working experience
• Prior experience in kitchen operations, preferably in a supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and food preparation processes
• Familiarity with inventory management and FIFO/FEFO practices
• Good leadership, communication, and team coordination skills
• Ability to plan, organize, and meet operational timelines
• Attention to detail with a strong focus on food quality and consistency
• Flexible and able to adapt to operational needs, including events and special requirements
• Physically fit to handle kitchen operational demands
• Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned
