Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Manager / Manager to join the Group and Statutory Reporting team. In this newly created role, you will serve as a key technical accounting advisor, drive financial reporting consistency across the organization, review of financial reporting submission from the subsidiaries, associates and joint ventures, and support the group consolidation, reporting process and consolidation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Accounting Advisory:
- Act as the primary technical accounting subject matter expert, providing guidance and advice to business units and subsidiary finance teams on complex or non-routine transactions.
- Partnering with external advisors to perform Purchase Price Allocation assessments for newly acquired subsidiaries.
- Group Accounting Policy and Accounting Standards:
- Revamp and enhance the current Group Accounting Policy manual to ensure it is fully comprehensive and aligned with updated accounting standards.
- Lead the rollout and implementation of new accounting standards across all group entities.
- Conduct in-depth reviews and analysis of selected subsidiaries' financials on rotational basis, ensuring compliance with Group Accounting Policy
- Group Consolidation & Reporting:
- Review monthly financial submissions and reporting packages from subsidiaries, associates, and joint ventures as part of the group consolidation process.
- Preparation or review of the group-level consolidation journal entries on a rotational basis to ensure end-to-end familiarity with group reporting matters.
- Support the preparation of group consolidated financial statements, SGX announcement, Temasek reporting and other ad hoc reporting.
- Financial Systems (OneStream CoE):
- Support the team lead of OneStream Centre of Excellence, including reviewing and approving user access rights, managing the request from inhouse users and work with consultants on system enhancements.
- Review of Financial Statements:
- Review the statutory financial statements prepared by GL team for Singapore-incorporated entities to ensure timely completion, accuracy and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., CA, CPA, ACCA).
- Minimum of 5 - 9 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, group consolidation, or technical accounting. Audit background from Big 4 or mid-tier firm is highly advantageous.
- Strong working knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS(I) / IFRS).
- Experience with enterprise performance management systems, with hands-on experience with OneStream is a strong plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills to partner effectively across business units, external auditors, and advisors.
