Key Responsibilities
The Finance Business Partner supports the SATS Group and regional finance teams by providing financial analysis, insights, and business partnering support to drive business performance and informed decision-making. The role works closely with the Group Finance team, regional leadership, and local management teams of investee companies to monitor financial performance, support planning and forecasting, and strengthen financial governance across the APAC region.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Financial Performance Management
- Monitor and analyse the financial performance of investee companies, including profitability, cash flow, and working capital.
- Prepare and perform analytical reviews of monthly financial performance against budget and forecast, highlighting key variances and drivers.
- Review financial accounting and reporting for overseas investments during month-end closing.
- Support monthly and quarterly financial reviews by identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Follow up with investee companies on key financial issues and agreed action plans.
2. Business Partnering
- Partner with management teams of investee companies to provide financial analysis and insights to support business planning and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and reporting tools to support business and strategic planning.
- Support finance-related aspects of M&A and other business initiatives.
- Provide financial analysis and support to Group management and/or Board nominees on projects undertaken by business units, including reviewing financial projections and key assumptions.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business objectives and resolve financial issues.
3. Budgeting & Forecasting
- Coordinate and support quarterly forecasts, annual budgets, and long-term business plans with relevant business units and investee companies.
- Consolidate and review financial forecasts, budgets, and business plans, ensuring key assumptions and drivers are appropriately supported.
- Track financial performance against approved budgets and forecasts and highlight key variances.
- Support the preparation of financial outlooks and management reports for Group and regional leadership.
4. Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a key finance contact between Group Finance, regional leadership, and investee company management teams.
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across different markets and functions.
- Prepare management reports and presentations for internal reviews and regional stakeholders.
- Communicate financial insights and recommendations clearly to support business discussions and decision-making.
5. Governance, Controls & Compliance
- Support investee companies in maintaining appropriate financial controls, reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
- Review financial processes and reporting practices and identify potential gaps or areas for improvement.
- Follow up on audit findings and agreed remediation actions.
- Support the implementation of Group finance policies, processes, and governance requirements across investee companies.
6. Team & Other Responsibilities
- Support audit queries and related financial assessments.
- Participate in finance transformation, process improvement, and other regional projects as required.
- Undertake ad-hoc analysis, assignments, and projects as required.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline. Professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are an advantage.
- 5 - 8 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably in FP&A, corporate finance, investment management, or finance business partnering.
- Experience working with regional businesses or across multiple markets and jurisdictions is preferred but not essential.
- Good knowledge and understanding of financial analysis, financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
- Prior experience working with or supporting investee companies is an advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools, with the ability to analyse and present financial information effectively.

Travel Requirements
- Periodic travel within APAC may be required to meet with investee companies, conduct financial reviews, and support key business initiatives.
