Key Responsibilities
The AVP, SATS Academy is an experienced L&D professional responsible for strengthening SATS’ leadership culture, designing and implementing impactful learning programmes, and driving initiatives that enhance leadership and soft-skills capabilities. The role includes translating leadership principles into actionable development solutions, measuring their effectiveness, and establishing systems that enable leaders to coach, develop and inspire their teams.
The role will also work on other L&D initiatives across digital, onboarding, culture, talent and operational domains.
In addition to leading programmes for SATS Singapore, this position supports the Group’s global L&D agenda—particularly in leadership and talent development.
The ideal candidate has deep expertise in designing, delivering and facilitating soft-skills, leadership and talent programmes, experience in large MNC environments, and the ability to work effectively with diverse, cross-border teams.
• Translate SATS’ leadership identity and principles into targeted learning and development programmes.
• Design and develop learning curricula, materials and interventions.
• Facilitate soft-skills, leadership and talent development programmes.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and impact of leadership initiatives.
• Establish systems and practices that enable leaders to coach and develop others.
• Drive organisation-wide initiatives that strengthen leadership capabilities and culture.
• Promote behaviours that enhance performance and reinforce company culture.
• Co-create leadership programmes with cross-border L&D teams and support global rollout.
• Influence and partner with stakeholders in Singapore and across regions to drive key L&D initiatives.
Key Requirements
• More than 10 years of experience in L&D, OD and/or Talent Development roles
• Experience operating in a large, matrixed and complex multi-national organisations
• Experience in development of leadership framework and materials for softskills and leadership programmes
• Skilled in facilitating softskills / leadership programmes
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and comfortable delivering workshops to diverse, multi-cultural audiences
• Certifications in assessment tools such as HOGAN, MBTI, Gallup’s Strength’s Finder, etc, coaching and/or facilitation would be advantageous
• Strong cultural acumen and ability to collaborate across regions.
• Knowledge in the following domains are desirable: data, digital, AI, design thinking, agile, Learning Management Systems, learning technologies and tools eLearning development (Articulate software), learning operations, behavioural science
