Key Responsibilities
The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Regional Category Management, for Third Party Service Crew and Contract Labor, will be responsible for developing and executing category strategies for outsourced service crew and contract labor across SATS’ regional operations. This role ensures that SATS secures reliable, cost-effective, and compliant workforce solutions to support operational excellence in aviation, food services, and related businesses. The individual will act as the subject matter expert for outsourced labor, driving supplier performance, risk management, and strategic sourcing initiatives, while working in critical collaboration with business and operational stakeholders to align outsourced labor strategies with operational needs.
- Category Strategy & Management
- Develop and implement regional category strategies for 3rd party service crew and contract labor, aligned with SATS’ business objectives.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in outsourced labor.
- Establish standardized procurement frameworks and policies across regional operations.
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic labor service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements to ensure cost efficiency, compliance, and quality.
- Monitor supplier performance, ensuring adherence to KPIs, HSSE standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Cost Optimization & Value Creation
- Drive cost savings initiatives through competitive sourcing, demand management, and process improvements.
- Benchmark labor costs and practices across markets to ensure competitiveness.
- Collaborate with operations to identify opportunities for automation or alternative workforce solutions.
- Risk & Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, ethical sourcing standards, and SATS’ corporate governance policies.
- Mitigate risks related to labor supply shortages, regulatory changes, and supplier dependency.
- Develop contingency plans for critical labor categories.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner closely with business and operational stakeholders to understand labor requirements and operational challenges.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on labor market dynamics.
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing labor sourcing strategies.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
- With minimum 12 years of procurement or category management experience, including 7 to 10 years in labor outsourcing, workforce solutions, or related industries.
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) certification or equivalent professional qualification is required.
- Strong knowledge of regional labor markets, employment regulations, and vendor ecosystems.
- Proven track record in contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost optimization.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong proficiency in procurement systems, contract management tools, and data analytics.
